Unfortunately Pulse Software cannot offer free support & assistance with Windows Networking, Windows File Sharing or other Windows Network setup issues. During installation of the Server we have pictures and help for what to do. Remember if Windows is not setup, infected or corrupted ChiroPulse cannot run effectively or at all. Just like if the engine of your car is broken you won’t be able to start the car without first having it repaired.

Allowing file access from multiple computers to your Server PC (the safe & correct way):

It’s vital to remember whenever configuring anything in Windows to make sure you are logged in as a Windows Administrator. Use Windows-Key + L to to lock your computer and then log back inFor the SERVER computer you will need to setup one username & password for each user wanting access from other computers on your local network. The usernames must match the username/password from the other PCs. This is done in Windows Control Panel… User Accounts… Manage Another Account.

Note – windows 7 does not allow file sharing with other Windows usernames without a password.

For example if you have 4 PCs, three networked PCs and a server

PC#1 with one “user”
Username: JimStaff
Password: password1

PC#2 with one “user”
Username: JaneStaff
Password: password2

PC#3 with one “user”
Username: HPOWNER121241
Password: password3

Server PC#4: with one “user”
Username: DOCTOR
Password: passwordDOCTOR

On this ServerPC#4 you must create at least 3 additional users matching the name and username of PCs1-3 to give access to the Server from PCs1-3.

If you are inexperienced with basic PC networking it would be in your best interest to hire an expert to setup your computer network so that it runs smoothly without constant trouble. Here are a few links for Windows Networking help:
